Oxford Library Celebrates Library Card Sign-Up Month

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month at the Oxford Library, complete with events for all ages.

According to the Republican-American, the library is hosting a special food crafting event for children from 3 to 6 p.m. on Monday. On Thursday, children in kindergarten through third grade can participate in an easy reader book discussion with children’s librarian Marissa Ciullo.

Sheri Miller will perform her Beatles-inspired songs and other classics at 6:30 p.m. Monday for the adults to enjoy. On Wednesday, The Survivors Swing Band will perform from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., playing melodies from the Swing Era of the 1920s to the 1940s. On Sept. 25, at 6:30 p.m., author Robert Tougias will discuss his book, “The Quest for the Eastern Cougar”.
