Oxford Man, 82, Charged with DUI in Southbury

Edward Stockman, 82, of Chestnut Tree Hill Road in Oxford was charged with DUI for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday afternoon in the Southford Village Square parking lot, the Republican-American reports.

The Rep-Am reports that Stockman backed up into a parked vehicle and allegedly took off. Police found Stockman’s vehicle, which was heavily damaged and he needed to be extricated from the car by Southbury firefighters.

He was charged with DUI.
