Oxford Man Asleep in Drive-Thru Lane at McDonald's in Naugatuck Charged with DUI

Naugatuck police say the responded to McDonald's just before 3 a.m. this weekend.

Naugatuck police say at 2:46 a.m. on Jan. 16, police responded to a McDonald’s for a man sleeping in a vehicle in the drive-thru lane.

Investigated determined that Frederic Widmer, 20, of Autumn Ridge Road in Oxford, was driving while under the influence of alcohol, police said. Police say he was also found to be in possession of 1.3 grams of marijuana and a vaporizing device.

He was charged with DUI and released after posting a $1,000 bond.
