Oxford Officials Eye Moving Some Municipal Departments: Report

Officials have released some tentative plans on relocating departments.

OXFORD, CT — Oxford officials are discussing moving some town departments due to the fact that a school will close by the fall of 2020 and the old library space in Town Hall is available after the new library building opened last year.

First Selectman George R. Temple told the Republican-American he'd like to move the land use offices including Planning and Zoning and Inland Wetlands to the old library space in Oxford Town Hall.

The Parks and Recreation Department could be moved to the current Center School building once it closes in 2020, which means more day programs may be added, the Rep-Am reports.
