Oxford Parks and Recreation Announces Fall Trips

From Oxford Rec: Fall is just around the corner. Time to start planning your weekend trips! Our trips are open to residents and non-residents, young and old. Driver Gratuity is included in all of our day trip prices as shown. To make a reservation, call the OPR office at 203-888- 2543, Ext. 3041 or register online at www.OxfordRec.com.

Payment of at least half of the trip fee must be received by the Parks and Rec office within 2 weeks of your
request to be added to the list. Overnight weekend trips require a $150 deposit to reserve your space. For all
trips, we need the names of all of the people traveling in your group. All trips are to be paid in full by 45 days
before departure. Sorry but NO refunds after 30 days before departure.

Philadelphia, PA - Terracotta Warriors at the Franklin Institute and Much More
November 10-12, 2017 Include 2 nights stay at the Holiday Inn Express Midtown (located in the heart of downtown within walking distance of a variety of shops and over 40 restaurants), 2 breakfasts, 1 dinner, sight-seeing and admissions.

Day 1

• Board a deluxe motor coach for the trip to the “City of Brotherly Love”;
• Visit One Liberty Observation Deck and view the city from 883 feet up;
• Dinner at a local restaurant;

Day 2

• Join a local guide for a Historic Tour of the City highlighting the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Franklin Court and much more;
• The afternoon includes a visit to the brand new Museum of the American Revolution;
• Evening – free leisure time;

Day 3

• Visit the Terracotta Warriors at the Franklin Institute – an army of over 8,000 terracotta statutes stood guard to the tomb of China’s first emperor for over 2000 years. Take a journey through the story, culture, craft and science of these famous statutes;
• Head home to CT;

• Depart: Nov. 10th 8:00 a.m. Oxford Town Hall, Returns: Nov. 12th 6:30 p.m. Radio City Christmas Spectacular and NYC November 19, 2017
• Enjoy an afternoon of free time in New York City taking in the sights of the season;
• Then head on over to Radio City Music Hall for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the world famous Rockettes – show time is 5:00 p.m.;
• Cost: $127 per person;
• Depart: 9:00 a.m. – Oxford Town Hall, Returns: 10:00 p.m.Kennebunkport Christmas Prelude with Kittery Outlets

December 2-3, 2017

Includes motor coach transportation, overnight accommodations at the Hampton Inn & Suites, Christmas Prelude activities, 1 breakfast, 1 dinner, baggage handling and all taxes & gratuities. On Saturday, enjoy time strolling the quaint New England streets or one of the many activities taking place in town. Visit the many Craft Fairs featuring hand-made Maine products. Spend time shopping at the holiday boutiques, shops and galleries with festive holiday refreshments.
