The following information was supplied by the Oxford Resident Trooper's Office (and one if from the Monroe Police Department). Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

- Itohan Osahon, 53, of 80 Lester Drive, Waterbury, was charged with third-degree assault and cruelty to persons. She was released on a $25,000 surety bond and appeared at Derby Superior Court on Dec. 12. She pleaded not guilty to both charges and is due back in court on Jan. 9.
- Jacob Ramos, 18, of 236 N. State St., Ansonia, was charged with risk of injury to a minor. He was originally held on a $50,000 police set bond, but the bond was reduced to $35,000 at Derby Superior Court. However, Ramos is still being held in custody, according to court records. He has entered a not guilty plea and his next court date is Dec. 23 in Derby.
- In Monroe, a police officer observed a blue Chrysler driving erratically, while heading north on Monroe Turnpike at around 8:53 Wednesday night and pulled the car over near the intersection with Bagburn Road, according to the report. The driver, Pawel Kaletka, 43, of Oxford, had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on him and field sobriety tests determined he was under the influence, police said, adding he later refused to participate in a breathalyzer test at headquarters. Kaletka was charged with DUI and failure to maintain the proper lane. He was released on $500 bond for a Dec. 20 court date.
- A resident on Mountain View Court reported that her mailbox was knocked over earlier this month. A dark colored, large sport utility vehicle is believed to have been involved. Anyone with information about the incident, which is believed have occurred around 11 p.m. on Dec. 3, can call the Oxford Resident Trooper’s Office at 203.888.4353. All calls will be kept confidential.
- A blue bicycle was found on Ancient Highway in Oxford. The bike’s owner can claim it by calling the Oxford Resident Trooper’s Office at 203.888.4353.
- A youth’s red BMX bicycle was found on Roosevelt Drive. The bike’s owner can claim it by calling the Oxford Resident Trooper’s Office at 203.888.4353.
- Travis Stanton, 32, of 344 Quaker Farms Road, Oxford, was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening. The case is awaiting disposition from Derby Superior Court, according to court records.
- Matthew P. Zaloumis, 45, of 6 Bonnie Lane, Oxford, was charged with disorderly conduct. The case is awaiting disposition from Derby Superior Court, according to court records. Police are investigating the theft of a quad that was stolen from Kerski Drive after it was left for a short period.
- A 16-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were referred to Waterbury Juvenile Court after being charged with possession of marijuana at Oxford High School. The male was also found in possession of marijuana paraphernalia, according to a police report.
- Two juveniles who led police on an off road vehicle chase in woods near the Stevenson Dam were eventually caught and arrested by Oxford Police Officer Luke Ramirez. The two teens were spotted by police near a bridge construction site, and police followed them into the woods. Police later discovered one of the off road vehicles was stolen. Both teens were arrested. One was charged with reckless driving, interfering with an officer, disobeying an officer’s signal, simple trespass and third-degree larceny of a motor vehicle. The other was discovered after further investigation and was issued a summons for reckless driving, disobeying an officer’s signal and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. The stolen off-road vehicle was later returned to its rightful owner.
