Oxford Police Union Contract Includes 6 Percent Raise In Year 1

Officials say the raises are definitely deserved.

OXFORD, CT — The town has approved a new contract for the police union, which includes a 6 percent hike in pay in the first year, the Republican-American reports. Officials say the raises are well deserved and officials are pleased by the type of candidates they've been attracting recently.

After the 6 percent hike in pay, officers will receive a 2 percent increase, followed by 2.5 percent raise in each of the third and fourth years, the Rep-Am reports.
