Oxford Prepares to Bid Farewell to Children's Librarian

The children's librarian is leaving to take a job in Shelton.

Oxford’s children’s librarian is leaving the community to work as a family services librarian in Shelton, Jordan Otero reports for the Republican-American.

Marissa Ciullo has worked at the Oxford Public Library since May 2008 and during her time there, she has expanded the library’s collection and doubled the number of programs and their attendance, the paper reports. Ciullo’s programs are popular among the children in the community.

To say goodbye to Miss Marissa, residents can stop by the Oxford Public Library during regular hours and sign her going away monster stuffed animal. The library will host a send off from noon to 8 p.m. on Dec. 22.
