Oxford Public Schools Calendar 2016-17

OXFORD, CT — You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2016-17 school year in the Oxford Public School System.

First day of school: August 29

Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 5

Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 10

Nov. 8 (no school for students)

November 23 (early dismissal)

Thanksgiving (school closed): 24, 25

Winter break: Dec-26 to Jan. 2 (school resumes Jan. 3)

Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 16

Presidents Day/ Winter Break (school closed): Feb. 20. 21

March 24 (no school students)

Spring Break: April 10-14, which includes Good Friday

Memorial Day (school closed): May 29

Last day of school: June 7
