Oxford Public Schools' Superintendent Signs Contract
The three year agreement went into effect last week.

Oxford Public Schools’ new superintendent Ana Ortiz has signed a three-year contract with the school system, the Republican-American reports.
The contract runs from Sept. 17 to June 30, 2017. According to the paper, Ortiz’s base salary will be $160,000. The previous superintendent, Timothy Connellan’s salary was $155,000 as of July 2013.
Ortiz will receive the same health insurance coverage as school administrators, contributing 18 percent to the cost of the high-deductible plan, the paper reports. The board will provide 2.5 times Ortiz’s annual base salary of term life insurance for the duration of the contract and pay up to $1,500 each year toward the premium for a long-term disability insurance policy for up to 60 percent of the base salary, according to the publication.
