Oxford Receives Good Financial News On Middle School Project

Town and school officials are very happy over the good news.

OXFORD, CT — Oxford taxpayers received some good news as the town will receive an extra $1 million in state reimbursement for the upcoming $44.9 million middle school project, the Republican-American reports.

The reimbursement rate from the state climbed from 27.5 percent to 30.36 percent, which accounts for the extra $1 million Oxford will receive for the project. Residents approved the middle school project in November by a wide margin. The new middle school will be built on the same campus with Quaker Farms Elementary School.
