Oxford Resident Killed In Crash, ID Released: Seymour Police

Police found two vehicles involved in a head-on collision, a 1930 Ford Model A and a Ford F350 pickup truck.

SEYMOUR, CT — An Oxford resident was killed in a head-on crash in Seymour Friday night, police said.

At 8:55 p.m. police were notified of a crash near the intersection of Great Hill and Southwest roads.

Police found two vehicles involved in a head-on collision, a 1930 Ford Model A and a Ford F350 pickup truck.

The driver of the Ford Model A, Richard Dimauro, 79, of Oxford, was found by officers to be unresponsive. Life-saving measures were performed, and he was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he later died.

The operator of the Ford F350 had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
