The man took a plea deal in two robbery cases.

OXFORD, CT — A man agreed to a plea deal that calls for five years in prison for robbing a Shelton bank and Oxford gas station.
Michael Mangiafico, 38, made a plea under the Alford doctrine where he doesn't admit to committing the crimes, but admits that he would likely be found guilty if the case went to trial, according to the Connecticut Post.
Mangiafico was charged with robbing the Mobil gas station on Oxford Road in Oxford in September 2018 and Key Bank on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton in October 2018.
