The spending plan includes hiring several staffers.

OXFORD, CT — Oxford school officials are seeking an additional $2.4 million or an 8 percent increase in its budget proposal for next year, the Republican-American reports.
Some of the reasons for the increase include: 2.5 percent pay increase for staff, increasing health insurance and transportation costs, and adding several positions including a technology teacher at the High School, and a reading specialist for Great Oak Middle School.
