Oxford Selectman Battling Cancer, GoFundMe Page Created

OXFORD, CT — A local legend and long-time Selectman Jeff J. Haney Sr. is in need of our help after being diagnosed with stage-four esophageal cancer. Two fundraisers are being held to assist the family with skyrocketing medical costs.

The fundraisers are scheduled for July 27, a golf tournament at Oxford Greens, and then on Aug. 11, a benefit dinner will be held at The Tent at Oxford Greens at 6 p.m., the Republican-American reports. A GoFundMe page has been established and as of Thursday morning $2,700 has been raised by 24 people.
