Oxford Selectmen Approve Nearly $80K In Upgrades For Police
One item was previously rejected by the Board of Finance.

OXFORD, CT — The Board of Selectman approved nearly $80,000 for what it considers vital needs for the Police Department. The selectmen approved $45,882 to purchase a 2019 Ford Utility Police Interceptor AWD from MHQ, Inc.
The Resident State Trooper sought the new vehicle. The Board of Finance had originally declined to approve the purchase and the item will go back to them. Additionally, four portable radios with desk chargers and speaker microphones and three mobile vehicle radios, one with an antenna were approved for the Police Department costing $32,798. The funds will come from the town's General Fund.
