Oxford Selectmen Create Great Oak Middle School Committee

Six people have been assigned to the committee and their mission has been defined.

OXFORD, CT — The Board of Selectmen this month voted to establish the Great Oak Middle School Evaluation and Improvement Committee, an advisory committee. The mission of the committee is to assess the physical plant at the middle school and make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen as to the needed repairs and renovations.

The committee will also seek out estimates for the potential repairs and or improvements. First Selectman George R. Temple, according to meeting minutes, said it is important to get a handle on the cost to refit the school and have it acceptable and approved for the youths.

Named to the committee include: George Renzoni, Herman Schuler, Marcie Fernandes, Bob Slie, Rich Kreuger, and Scott Flaherty.
