Oxford Senior Center Floor Needs Repairs, Costs Estimated At $20,000

Selectman Jeff Haney attended the meeting to inform the Board of Finance about a situation at the Senior Center. He noted that the floor of the facility needs to be repaired and the approximate cost will be close to $20,000, according to Finance Board meeting minutes.

Attorney Condon has been in contact with the construction company who installed the flooring. The craft room floor which had problems last year already was already fixed. The main room floor needs to be replaced now, meeting minutes state.

The existing flooring will be stripped and ceramic tile will be installed. Bids will be collected for labor cost for the project. He estimated the materials will cost $3,000.

Bids for labor will be collected to go with the request for submission to the Board of Selectmen for approval. The Board of Finance will review the matter after the Board of Selectmen approves the item, meeting minutes state.
