Oxford Takes Next Step In Working to Buy Schreiber Estate
The Board of Selectmen took action at a meeting held earlier this month.

OXFORD, CT — The Board of Selectmen has appointed the Schreiber Estate Negotiating Committee in an effort to facilitate the town purchasing the 144-acre Schreiber Estate for open space.
The town has a grant for the purchase of the Schreiber property in the amount of $1.3 million. This property will serve as open space and provide areas for sports fields, according to recent meeting minutes.
The following people were appointed to the committee: Andy Ferrillo, Jack Kiley and Mike Herde. This group will negotiate the purchase price, which would then go to the town for approval.
