Oxford Traffic Alert: Work Continues on Stevenson Dam
Oxford, Monroe, Shelton area drivers are asked to follow detours, as well as the direction of uniformed police officers in the area
Oxford, CT — The Town of Monroe announced that maintenance work on the Stevenson Dam will continue and will close the road and detour traffic on Route 34 near Roosevelt Drive in Oxford and Monroe.
Traffic will be detoured using CT Route 111, CT Route 110, and Bridge Street in the City of Shelton. Long-distance traffic is advised to take CT 8 and I-84 to avoid the Stevenson Dam, according to First Selectman Steve Vavrek.
The road will be closed on 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 until11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
