Oxford Volleyball Continues to Cruise

The Oxford High School volleyball team is continuing its winning ways. 

On Friday, the team defeated Danbury on the road in straight sets: 25-9, 25-17, 25-15. The Wolverines were led by Pat Cragan with 30 assists; Jason Mraz, 10 kills, four blocks; Josh Thorne, nine kills, one block and Ed Carver, 12 digs.

On Monday, the team was once again victorious, defeating Joel Barlow on the road in straight sets: 25-16, 25-21 and 25-17. Bobby Costigan had 14 kills, two blocks; Eric Jensen, eight kills, one block; Cragan, 29 assists.

The Wolverines (6-0) will take on undefeated Southington (5-0) at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Southington High School, 720 Pleasant St., Southington.
