Oxford Woman Charged After Accident in Naugatuck

Naugatuck police say the woman was involved in an accident in the borough and allegedly left the scene.

NAUGATUCK, CT - An Oxford resident is accused of being involved in an accident in Naugatuck and leaving the scene, police said.

Police said Hettylou Dow, 26, of Rees Drive turned herself in on an arrest warrant on May 9.

On April 25, Dow is accused of evading a motor vehicle accident, police said. She was driving on Rubber Avenue Extension and while traveling west on Rubber Avenue Extension she allegedly struck a wall on Rubber Avenue Extension and left the scene, police said.

She was released after posting a $1,000 bond and given a court date of May 18. She is charged with evading responsibility with a motor vehicle.
