Oxford Wrestlers Have Strong Performance at Class S Championship
The Wolverines will send six wrestlers to the State Open championship.
In their best performance to date at the Class "S" State Championships, Oxford High School wrestlers tied for third place with Terryville, both teams receiving 131 points.
Steve Perrson at 152 lbs., took home his second consecutive 1st place title. "He was really ready to perform today," Oxford coach Ben Blue said. "It was a simple, basic type of domination. He was very determined." Persson was 1st place champion last year at 145 lbs. The medalists from this weekend are:
