Oxford's Grand List Shows Growth
The grand list increased by 1.1 percent over 2013, officials said Friday.

Oxford Assessor Eva Lintzner had some good economic news to report Friday.
The town’s grand list for 2014 increased by 1.1 percent over 2013. The grand list of taxable property including personal property, motor vehicle and real estate increased from $1.426 billion to $1.442 billion.
Real estate and motor vehicle increased while personal property decreased.

Real estate increased by 0.9 percent from $1.226 billion to $1.238 billion, while motor vehicles increase by 4.5 percent from $111.42 million to $116.76 million.
Personal property decreased slightly from $87.9 million to $87.59 million or a 0.3 percent decline.

Lintzner wrote that personal property showed a decrease due to the business in town not replacing or adding new equipment and the equipment depreciates yearly.
“I would like to thank my staff: Assessor’s Assistant, Teresa Geremski, the Assessor’s Clerk, Joyce Eades, and Personal Property Clerk, Elizabeth Pazsak, for their efforts and dedication to this job done in a timely fashion,” Lintzner wrote.
