Oxford's Lily Park Is Now Completed

The town receives $7,500 to complete the work.

The Town of Oxford is happy to announce that a grant award from the Connecticut Community Foundation and the Oxford Greens was given to the Oxford Parks & Recreation Department for the completion of Oxford’s Lily Park, according to a press release from First Selectman George R. Temple.

The $7,500 award is for the installation of the final Playscape component, an Interactive Musical Component (IMC). This IMC will allow both children and adults to make music with the various instruments. In addition, a safety fence will be installed in front of the park.

The Lily Park is an ADA compliant park thereby increasing accessibility to special needs children. The Playscape Committee worked tirelessly to complete Lily Park with many volunteer hours and focused commitment. Lily Park is dedicated to the memory of Lily Brooks.
