Parent/Child Grief Counseling

VNS of Connecticut's Hospice at Home Program is sponsoring a parent/child grief counseling group starting in October.

Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut’s Hospice at Home Program continues its mission of counseling for the community through sponsorship of a weekly parent/child grief bereavement group beginning October 14 and running for seven consecutive Tuesdays at the agency’s Torrington office, 65 Commercial Boulevard.  The program, which will be held from 4:30-6 p.m., is designed to help parents and their children deal with the loss of a loved one in a healthy and effective manner.  Group members remember their loved ones through discussion, play and the creation of memorials.  The group, which is funded by Friends of Hospice of Litchfield, will be facilitated by hospice therapist Ruthellen Griffin and hospice counselor, the Rev. Eileen Epperson, M Div.  For more information, contact
