As Player Injuries Rise Questions Arise Over Field Safety
Officials including Oxford First Selectman George R. Temple are raising questions about the quality of the High School's athletic complex.

OXFORD, CT — Two Oxford High School football players have suffered torn ACL injuries this year and the condition of the $3.1 million athletic complex is being called into question.
First Selectman George R. Temple penned a letter to school officials raising concern about the maintenance of the field, the Republican-American reports. Temple said in the letter that he wants the town, not the schools, to take over field maintenance. In the lengthy Rep-Am article, questions are raised about why no maintenance of the field was done this spring, and why a machine that could help maintain the field has never been utilized.
