Police, FBI Continue Search for Missing Girl from Orange

Just a few towns away from Oxford, a teenage girl has yet to be located after she was reported missing Sunday morning. Several responders are searching the area near her home.

Local, state and federal authorities are still searching for a 12-year-old Orange girl who was reported missing and hasn’t been found as of mid-day Monday.

Orange police, State Police and an FBI helicopter worked all Sunday and Monday searching for Isabelle “Bella” Oleschuck, who police in Orange said was reported missing at 8:18 a.m. that day. State Police said the girl is 5’4”, weighing 120 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.

An entire team of responders reportedly scourged the wooded area behind the girl’s home at 170 Derby Ave., some working as late as 11 p.m. Sunday, . K-9 patrols, local fire departments, search and rescue volunteers, an FBI helicopter and an airplane were all utilize to locate Oleschuck, although as of Sunday evening she hasn’t been found.

In a press release, Orange Assistant Police Chief Edward Koether said there is no indication of foul play, although “we are covering every angle,” .

“We've been on the scene since early this morning and will continue to search until we come to some kind of a resolution,” Koether said.

Koether acknowledged that the girl may have a hard time hearing rescuers calling her name. Sources said she left her house without her hearing aid, .

Police and other rescue workers are searching every business, wooded area and other possible place where she could be.
