Police: Man Arrested for Stealing Tools From Father

An Orange man has been arrested for stealing tools from his father's home in Oxford, police said.

Jason Paul Fraser, 28, of 1028 Fernbrook Road, was charged Wednesday by Oxford police with fourth-degree larceny because the value of the items taken was between $501 and $1,000. That charge is a Class A misdemeanor in Connecticut, meaning, if convicted, Fraser could face up to a year in prison and/or up to a $2,000 fine.

Fraser is accused of stealing from his father's home on Bee Mountain Road between Dec. 13 and Jan. 9, police said in a news release. Fraser also faces charges of criminal trespass from a case stemming from Orange, where he was arrested on Feb. 7. After that arrest, Oxford police learned of his whereabouts and applied for an arrest warrant. Fraser turned himself in to police at his home in Orange without incident, the news release states. 

He is expected to be arraigned today (Thursday) at Derby Superior Court.
