Police Nab Oxford Pharmacy Thieves

Police from several local towns help in search efforts to track down three Beacon Falls men.

Police nabbed three men accused of breaking into the at 100 Oxford Road early Tuesday morning.

An alarm sounded at the pharmacy at 2:31 a.m. and the Oxford Resident Trooper's Office responded, said Resident Trooper Sgt. Dan Semosky. The officers noticed there was damage to the door and that someone had been inside the pharmacy, so they set up a perimeter around the building, he said.

Police called for a K-9 out of State Police Barracks Troop G in Bridgeport who helped the Oxford Resident Troopers and Oxford police track down the suspects along with officers from Beacon Falls, Southbury, Seymour and state police from Bethany, Southbury and Bridgeport, Semosky said.

Two men from Beacon Falls were originally caught in the early morning hours, he said. They were Jordan Krakowski, 21, of 26 Jones Road, and Corey Scarduzio , 21, of 3 Snyder Drive. They were charged with burglary, criminal mischief and larceny for stealing some prescription drugs from the pharmacy, Semosky said.

He said the men stole about $1,500 worth of prescription drugs and police recovered about $350 worth so far.

Police out of the Resident Trooper's Office in Beacon Falls arrested a third man at 10:30 a.m. He is Dylan Owen, 20, also of 3 Snyder Drive in Beacon Falls. He was arrested on the same charges.

Krakowski and Scarduzio were each held on $40,000 bonds and arraigned at Derby Superior Court on Tuesday. They entered no pleas and their cases were continued to next month.

Owen was also held on a $40,000 bond and is expected to be arraigned at Derby Superior Court tomorrow (Wednesday).
