Police Release Photos of Oxford Break-In Suspects
Teenagers broke into several cars in Oxford last week.
Admittedly, the pictures aren't great, but police hope someone can identify two teenagers caught on a resident's surveillance camera breaking into a car last week.
The Oxford Resident Trooper's Office took still images from a video feed that was given to police by a homeowner and his home security company. Police believe if someone can ID the suspects, it will help them solve at least six break-ins that occurred in the early morning of Sunday, Sept. 18, on Silano Drive, Punkup Road, Belinsky Circle and Tetlak Lane.
Police say several items were stolen by two thin white male teenagers who roamed neighborhoods on bicycles and stole items, including loose change and portable electronics, from unlocked cars parked in driveways.

"Anyone who thinks they may be able to ID this person should call us," said Resident Trooper Sgt. Dan Semosky. "And we're asking that people be cognizent of what they see in the area. If they see anyone on bikes or on foot when they are leaving for work early or coming home late, they should call us so we can check it out."
The recent break-ins occurred between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., police say.

On top of asking residents for help, police are stepping up patrols at night. They will have more officers and cruisers out patrolling areas that have been hit in the past, Semosky said.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 203.888.4353. All calls will be kept confidential, Semosky said.
He urges people in the community, particularly in the area where the thefts occurred, to not leave any valuables in their cars such as money (even loose change), wallets, computers, GPS units, cell phones or any other valuables. And he urges people to lock their doors even if they haven’t had a problem with break-ins in the past.
The Silano and Punkup area has a neighborhood watch organization because break-ins have happened there in the past, he said.
