Police Say Teen Texting While Driving Led to Crash in Oxford
The teenager was issued an infraction for distracted driving.

A two-car crash occurred in Oxford Tuesday morning on Route 67 when a car crossed into the opposite lane, the Republican-American reports.
Nicholas Donnangolo, 17, of Prospect was driving northbound on the road and crossed into the southbound lane at the intersection of Old State Road. According to the paper, Donnangolo’s car struck the left rear end of a vehicle travelling in the southbound lane.
The vehicle belonged to Rodney B. Pink, 68, of Danbury, the paper reports. Pink was taken to Danbury Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Donnangolo admitted to police that he was checking a message on his phone at the time the incident occurred. According to the paper, he was issued an infraction for distracted driving and failure to drive on the right side of the road.
