'Possible' Missing Plane Lands Safely At Another Airport: UPDATE

BREAKING: A control tower lost contact with a plane that was supposed to land at Waterbury-Oxford Airport Friday morning.

UPDATE: State Police said the plane was located safe at Robertson Field Airport in Plainville, CT. No injuries were reported.

OXFORD, CT — Emergency response crews are searching the area near the Waterbury-Oxford Airport this morning after a control tower lost contact with a plane that was nearby and scheduled to land, State Police said. State Police said a "possible downed plane" was reported in the area of Oxford Airport.

State Police added that the plane is reported as a four seater "possibly down in the area of Oxford Airport." State Police, Naugatuck and Middlebury police departments are all searching the area and wood line.
