Quaker Farms Carnival Canceled In Oxford
The popular carnival has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, officials announced.

OXFORD, CT — The annual Quaker Farms Carnival has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, officials announced. Officials said they will continue to monitor the situation and try to hold the popular carnival at another time if they are allowed to.
“It is great with sadness we announce that Quaker Farm's Annual Carnival will be cancelled at this time due to the pandemic and the inability to attain permits for gatherings over 100 people,” reads a post on the Quaker Farms Fire Company’s Facebook page. “We will however be keeping a close eye on the situation and should we be allowed to in the near future, we will attempt to hold our carnival.
“This yearly event is something we as a family truly enjoy, and more so, enjoy bringing to our community. It is also our only fundraiser which allows us to buy some of the much needed equipment for Quaker Farms FD.
