Razor-Thin Primary Margin Triggers Oxford Recount
The primary was decided by a mere three votes, which triggers a recount.
OXFORD, CT — A vote recount was triggered after a razor-thin Democratic primary Tuesday.
State law allows for a recount if the vote margin is less than 20 votes or .5 percent, according to the Republican-American. For the first selectman primary the result was Betti Hellman with 171 votes to Scott Flaherty's 168.
