Report: 2 Dogs Die in Southbury House Fire

Two dogs died in a house fire at 491 Fish Rock Road in Southbury early Sunday, the Republican-American reports.

The fire began just before 1 a.m. and the homeowners were away when the fire broke out. Significant damage was confined to the kitchen and an upstairs bedroom, the Rep-Am reports, but smoke, heat and water damage was reported throughout the house.

The fire is under investigation. The Oxford Fire Department assisted.
