Report: Former Oxford Resident Accused of Stealing Guns, Burglarizes Home in Southbury

Patrick Lahaza, 26, formerly of Charter Oak Drive in Oxford is accused of stealing handguns during a burglary reported at the Far View Commons condo complex on Southford Road in Southbury, the Republican-American reports.

Additionally, three pistols reported taken are still missing, the Rep-Am reports. The burglary occurred back in May.

Police say besides the gun safe that was allegedly broken into the suspect also went through other items in the house.

But police say they were able to apprehend Lahaza after he allegedly left his backpack at the scene and a witness saw him leaving the area, the Rep-Am reports.
