Road To Be Closed In Oxford Next Week

OXFORD, CT — This announcement is to let residents know that Riggs Street will be closed next week starting at 6 a.m. Monday July 24 to 5 p.m. while the Public Works Department paves Riggs Street from Jack's Hill Road to Route 67.

Paving is expected to take place all week and residents are asked to seek alternative routes such as Christian Street and Hawley Road. Paving will be done weather permitting. Residents are asked to pay attention to signage and to Public Works employees and should allow adequate time for the detours.
