Ronald Glifort, 74, of Milford, passed away on August 22, 2026. Born on August 7, 1952 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Walter and JoAnne Glifort.

Ron graduated from Jonathan Law High School in 1970 and went on to spend 30 years working at Automotive Restorations before retiring. His passion went beyond his work, often taking road trips to watch NASCAR races.

He had a wide variety of interests and was always happiest when he was surrounded by good friends, family, and a little adventure. Ron was a lifelong fan of softball and bowling. He founded a local softball team, the Assassins, becoming a fixture in the local softball community.

Ron was always eager to be part of the action. For more than 20 years, he participated in the canoeing race at the Milford Oyster Festival, a tradition that became a cherished part of his life. On occasion, his son joined him in the race, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.

All of Ron’s festivities were often accompanied by his wide variety of music.

Ron was also a proud Mason for 50 years. Through his involvement with the Masons, he formed many of the lifelong friendships that meant so much to him. He also devoted his time to coaching DeMolay, helping guide and mentor young men through the youth organization associated with the Masonic tradition.

But above all else, Ron's greatest joy was his family. He raised his children with a love of adventure and the outdoors, filling their lives with camping trips, ski trips, road trips, and countless experiences together. He carried that same love and enthusiasm into his role as a grandfather, and he adored his grandchildren dearly.

Ron will be remembered for his kind heart, consistent sense of humor, and the joy and laughter he brought to those around him. He had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome and turn ordinary moments into lasting memories. His friends, family, and all who had known him will miss his laughter, his stories, his friendship, and his adventurous spirit.

Ronald is survived by his children, Ron Jr. (Kristen) Glifort and Kelly (Ryan) Bain; his grandchildren, Delaney Glifort, Owen Glifort, and Ryan Bain Jr.; his sister, Phyllis (Michael) Zilinski; his nephews, Jonathan (Sarah) Zilinski and TJ Zilinksi; three great nieces; and many beloved friends. Along with his parents, Walter and JoAnne, Ronald is predeceased by his siblings, Donna Glifort, Tom Glifort, and Jim Glifort; and his daughter, Melody Glifort.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a masonic service at 7:30 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. Interment will be private.
