Snowmobile Trailer Stolen in Oxford Located in Neighboring Town

A snowmobile trailer that was stolen in Oxford has been recovered in Monroe.

The Aquarion Water Co. complained about a snowmobile trailer parked on its property, back from the road on Velvet Street in Monroe, on Thursday. The ensuing police investigation determined that the enclosed trailer had been reported stolen from Douglas Drive in Oxford on Nov. 26.

The black and silver Blizzard snowmobile trailer is a V-nose model. The plates had been removed and officers found that the locks on the door had also been removed, police said. The trailer itself was empty.

Before the trailer had been stolen, police said it had a New York registration plate and that three snowmobiles were stored inside.
