Tornado Continues To Take Its Toll On Oxford
The First Selectman says numerous people still need help.

OXFORD, CT — First Selectman George R. Temple said the town still has up to 25 people in need of help from the tornado that caused significant damage in town.
According to recent Board of Selectmen meeting minutes, the church was unable to help these individuals and the property damages are too dangerous for the football players to assist. Selectman Scott Flaherty and the town's administrative assistant, Kristyn Rosa, are planning to visit these properties and assess the extent of the existing damages. The town is still receiving at least two phone calls a day for cleanup or FEMA, Temple reported.
He also added that a fundraiser golf tournament is scheduled for July 27 at Oxford Green for Selectman Jeff Haney.
