As you may know, I am the owner of Seymour's community Yoga center, Phoenix Yoga. About a month ago, my fiancé and I adopted our second dog from the Oxford shelter. Her name is Izzy, and she is a gift to our family. She is a mixed bully breed, weighing about 50 pounds. Many people shy away from adopting an older dog, but I can't imagine our life without Izzy. All she wants is love and kisses! We also have a one year old lab/boxer mix named Harper. They love each other! I'd like to remind anyone thinking about adopting that it is a lifetime commitment. Remember that pets require training. The more consistent you are, the more consistent they will be. Lately I have noticed some very negative words floating around patch about pitbulls. I can guarantee you that there is so much more good deeds done by pits than there are bad. For example, check out our local therapy dog Jeffrey, the Positively Peaceful Pitbull. You can vote for him for his therapy dog award that he has been nominated for. Just click this link below!

Namaste,
Phoenix
