Woman Confronts Burglar In Her Oxford Home: Report

State Police with the help of a K-9 were able to track the suspect, according to reports. A child was home at the time of the break-in.

OXFORD, CT — Daniel Tichy, 41, was arrested after he attempted to break into a home in Oxford, the Connecticut Post reports.

Around 8 a.m. Friday, a female resident was with her child on the second floor of the house when she went downstairs and found Tichy in her home, the CT Post reports. Tichy made a run for it and Troop A Trooper Edward Anuszewski and his K-9, Texas tracked Tichy, which ended up leading to his arrest, the Post reports.

Tichy was charged with burglary and had an outstanding arrest warrant for larceny and credit card fraud offenses, WTNH News 8 reports. Police also found Tichy with drugs at the time of his arrest, News 8 reports.
