Woman Who Drove Car Into Bank Won't Face Charges
The woman, 57, of Oxford, says she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Police say it was nothing more than an accident.

A woman who about 6 p.m. Sunday will not face any criminal charges or motor vehicle infractions, according to a report on file at the Oxford Resident Trooper’s Office.
Nadia Sobin, 57, of 2 Wayant Road, told police she had accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake and drove into an office at the Naugatuck Savings Bank branch in the Great Hill Plaza at 71 Oxford Road, according to a police report, which states the case is closed.
Oxford Resident Trooper Sgt. Dan Semosky said it was an accident, nothing more. He said it’s a good thing nobody was in the bank at the time and that a bank worker sits in a desk that the car hit.

The bank has been open for business as usual since Monday.
