Zois Pizza held its 3rd annual pizza eating contest to benefit Project Purple on Sunday, June 4th

The event this year coincided with Founder's Day in Seymour and brought together passionate folks who love pizza and hate pancreatic cancer.

BEACON FALLS, CT – June 5, 2017 The event this year coincided with Founder’s Day in Seymour and brought together passionate folks who love pizza and hate pancreatic cancer.

Teams competed for a chance to win various cash prizes all while supporting the fight against pancreatic cancer. Size of pizza, team size, and prizes varied by division.
The winners for each division are as follows:
• Female Amateur: “Doughmination” – Alivia Barry & Christine Katrenya
• Male Amateur: “Furious Masticators” – Jeff Daley & Jim Coyle
• Firefighter: Madison Fire Department – Mike Vece & Mike Selmani
• Professional: Joe Menchetti

This year’s efforts brought in close to $10,000 for Project Purple’s mission to raise awareness, support patients and families, and fund research efforts to defeat pancreatic cancer.
