Another budget meeting, highway task forces, learning how to volunteer, a cold night and singing postmen.

- There will be another Board of Selectmen's budget meeting tonight, this time to discuss the highway department and parks and recreation budgets. A general discussion will be held after the 7:30 p.m. meeting.
- At 4 p.m., the Economic Development Commission's Route 7 Task Force to discuss opportunities for the highway north of town, including wastewater treatment facilities and zoning issues. The meeting will be held in the Town Hall Large Conference Room.
- Learn about the Appalachia Service Project tonight at Jesse Lee Church 7:30 p.m. The nationwide Christian volunteer program brings high school students together to help build and repair homes in the Appalachia region. Tonight will have an introductory slide show at the church for those interested in attending -- kids and their parents are welcome.
- Today is expected to be sunny with a high of 24 and light winds -- tonight will drop into the single digits with a windchill below zero.
