RIDGEFIELD, CT — Roots music group Mr. Sun and accordionist Sam Reider’s ensemble The Human Hands are scheduled to perform this week during the CHIRP concert series in Ridgefield.
Mr. Sun will perform Tuesday, July 7, at 7 p.m. in Ballard Park. According to CHIRP organizers, the quartet includes fiddler Darol Anger, mandolin player Joe K. Walsh, guitarist Grant Gordy and bassist Aidan O’Donnell.
Sam Reider & The Human Hands are scheduled to perform Thursday, July 9, at 7 p.m. Organizers described the group as a collective of acoustic musicians exploring folk, jazz and traditional music from around the world.
CHIRP, or Concert Happenings in Ridgefield’s Parks, presents free concerts Tuesdays and Thursdays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Concerts are held in Ballard Park, with East Ridge Middle School Auditorium used during inclement weather, according to organizers.
