RIDGEFIELD, CT —Musicals at Richter will continue its 42nd summer season with a production of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s "Mary Poppins," running July 24 through Aug. 8 at the Richter Arts Center in Danbury.
The production features Ridgefield resident Katherine Hadermayer as Jane Banks.
Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Fridays through Sundays on the grounds of the Richter Arts Center, 100 Aunt Hack Road, with additional Thursday performances on July 30 and Aug. 6. The venue opens at 7 p.m. each evening to allow patrons to picnic before the performance.
The production features a live band and a cast of 42 local performers. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating, and a limited number of chairs will be available at the venue. A cash concession stand offering snacks and soft drinks also will be available.
Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors ages 65 and older and students with identification, and $15 for children age 10 and younger. For the Thursday performances, admission is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and students, and $10 for children age 10 and younger. Limited front-row VIP seating also is available for purchase, according to organizers.
