RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Inland Wetlands Board is scheduled to review proposed work at Carriage House Drive and previously unapproved work on Bennetts Farm Road when it meets Thursday, Aug. 27.
The board will also receive three new applications involving projects near wetlands or watercourses, including another Carriage House Drive application seeking to correct a wetlands violation involving clear-cut trees.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and will be held remotely by Zoom. Residents seeking an electronic device to attend the meeting at a town facility may contact the Planning and Zoning office at 66 Prospect St. at least 24 hours before the meeting.
The board is scheduled to discuss an application for proposed construction and grading at 0 Carriage House Drive.
Application IW-26-27 calls for construction of a septic system and driveway, along with grading and associated site work within the upland review area of wetlands and watercourses.
The property owner is Aerie at F4-007 LLC, and the applicant is Gaurangkumar Rana. The matter is listed for discussion, and the agenda does not indicate that a vote will be taken.
A second application involving the same property is among three new matters scheduled to be received by the board.
Application IW-26-34 seeks to correct a wetlands violation involving the clear-cutting of trees within the upland review area of wetlands and watercourses. Aerie at F4-007 LLC is again listed as the owner and Rana as the applicant.
The application is scheduled to be received, with a site walk and future discussion to be scheduled.
The board will also discuss work performed without approvals at 225 Bennetts Farm Road.
Application IW-26-29 is a revision to an earlier summary ruling application and concerns work done without approvals within the upland review area of wetlands and watercourses.
Justin Stoney is listed as the property owner and Michael Mazzucco as the applicant. The agenda does not describe the work that was performed or indicate what action the board may take.
Among the new applications, the board is scheduled to receive a proposal for a detached garage at 157 Spring Valley Road.
Application IW-26-31 seeks a summary ruling for construction of the garage within the upland review area of wetlands and watercourses.
David and Susan Jeffries are listed as the property owners, with Doug MacMillan as the applicant. The board is scheduled to receive the application and arrange a site walk and discussion.
The board will also receive an application for improvements at 100 Holmes Road.
Application IW-26-33 proposes an addition, deck, patio and stormwater system within the upland review area of wetlands and watercourses.
Timothy and Melanie Dascenzo are listed as the owners, and Kevin Bennett is the applicant. As with the Spring Valley Road proposal, the board is scheduled to receive the application and arrange a site walk and subsequent discussion.
Under other business, the board is scheduled to consider releasing a $3,408 planting bond associated with application IW-23-24 at 234 Florida Road.
The agenda also calls for discussions of the town's Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Regulations and pond treatment. No additional details about either topic are provided.
The board is also scheduled to review ongoing enforcement matters handled by its agent, although individual enforcement cases are not identified on the agenda.
