Ridgefield High School Ranks Among CT's Best For 2027

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield High School is among the best public high schools in Connecticut, according to a new ranking from Niche.

The school ranked No. 6 on Niche's 2027 list of the Best Public High Schools in Connecticut. Niche gave Ridgefield High School an overall grade of A+.

The school has 1,411 students in grades 9-12 and a student-teacher ratio of 11 to 1, according to Niche. The site lists Ridgefield High School's average user rating at 3.7 out of 5, based on 419 reviews.

Ridgefield also earned high marks in several individual categories, including A+ grades for academics and teachers, an A for clubs and activities and sports, and an A- for college preparation and resources and facilities.

Niche's 2027 public high school rankings are based on an analysis of statistics and reviews using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, teacher quality and high school ratings. SAT and ACT scores were removed from this year's rankings, according to Niche.

Ridgefield School District also fared well in Niche's latest rankings, placing No. 4 among the best school districts in Connecticut and earning an A+ overall grade.
